We’re Doing It Again—Energy (in)Equity is Coming to You This May!

You asked, and we listened. We’re hosting another Energy (in)Equity Public Training this May! Grab a seat before they sell out!

Last month, we hosted our first Energy (in)Equity training, a professional training that examines how the energy industry perpetuates systemic and racial injustice and what each participant can do to address injustices through individual and collective policy work.

Energy (in)Equity is like a master class in justice foundations, principles of equity applied to the energy industry, and zoom wizardry. Common Spark made sure we all had fun while doing it! I laughed, cried, learned, unlearned, and everything in between.

We’re so thankful to our first Energy (in)Equity participants who stepped up to learn how we can collectively and individually work toward a more equitable clean energy future.  We are especially heartened by the level of vulnerability folks showed up with—reminding us that vulnerability is an important force that opens us to learn about ourselves and the role we can play; it drives us forward to shift our awareness and daily practices towards justice.

Common Spark did a great job hosting Energy (in)Equity. Sessions were well paced and facilitated conversation between attendees. I really enjoyed sharing my own experiences in the context of learning about how to apply Jemez Principles to our work and personal actions.

Learning goes both ways. Over the past month, we strengthened our training, enriching the holistic trainee-experience for the next participants and we are very excited to host it! Register today for our next Energy (in)Equity training on May 17-18, 2023!

Common Spark Consulting not only works externally with our clients and partners, but we also strive to work inwardly, recognizing that we must internalize the care, thoughtfulness, and intention we hope to represent as individuals and an organization. The Thought Library is where we share our ideas and thoughts, where we are at right now, on topics and issues that we hope will spark conversation for a brighter, more inclusive energy future.
