Elevating Workforce Opportunities for an Equitable Climate Future

Sponsored by the Greenlining Institute and hosted by the City of Oakland, Common Spark facilitated a series of workshops to discuss workforce development opportunities and needs in light of Oakland’s Equitable Climate Action Plan. Bringing together community members, advocates, workforce development providers, and local agencies, along with speakers from labor, employers, and decarbonization perspectives, Common Spark facilitated conversations that provided the City with a clearer understanding of the breadth of investment opportunities and growing demand for expanding a diverse and mobilized workforce to meet Oakland’s climate goals.
